Psychology Programs of Study

So what's unique about Psychological Sciences?

The Psychological Sciences program at Loyola University New Orleans provides students with a sequence of courses that are non-traditional by design; individual courses are designed specifically to meet the needs of our students and frequently contain laboratory components. These provide a kind of solid preparation not always available in smaller university liberal arts Psychological Sciences departments.

Political Science Programs of Study

Because its effects are so immediately felt, political science is a field that’s often dramatized. But as television shows glorify leadership positions and the power that seems to come with them, they often miss the depth and importance of understanding organized government at a systemic level. Political scientists are those who know how to evaluate power divisions and societal constructs that will have lasting effects on citizens and systems around the world.

Languages and Cultures Programs

The Department of Languages and Cultures at Loyola University New Orleans offers degree programs in Classical Studies, French, Spanish, and Latin American Studies. These programs are designed to train students in both the target language and the culture of those countries where the language is/was spoken. Students university-wide can use their General Elective allowance to study languages from our global world including German and Italian.
