At Loyola University New Orleans, you’ll study the structure of the justice system, the ethical questions surrounding the imprisonment and rehabilitation process, and the operation of homeland security and the Supreme Court so that you have the tools to make a career out of sustaining justice. Criminology & Justice Programs of Study
Criminal justice careers include an exciting array of possibilities.
By obtaining a degree in criminology and justice, you will join Loyola graduates who have gone on to careers in federal and governmental agencies around the world, including the Department of Homeland Security, Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS), Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and numerous state and local criminal justice agencies.
English Programs of Study
Bachelor of Arts in English/Literature
Students complete 36 hours in British and American literature, and literature or writing electives. Many students also complete an internship at a magazine, business, or school. See degree plan

It is my pleasure to welcome you to the Department of Criminology and Justice at Loyola University New Orleans. The Criminology and Justice Department has one of the oldest programs in the South and is located in the College of Arts and Sciences. If you are interested in the field of criminal justice, you have come to the right place.
Post-Baccalaureate Participating Courses
All undergraduate course descriptions can be found in the University Bulletin. Up to 12 hours of elective credit can be used with this program. Electives will consist of any other Loyola class students and their advisor deem necessary for their desired health-related graduate program.
Pre-Health Post-Baccalaureate Program
The Pre-Health Post-Baccalaureate Certificate at Loyola University New Orleans is aimed at supporting recent graduates and career changers with a bachelor’s degree who have a drive and passion for a health-science career, but lack the courses required for entry into their program of choice.
