Leah Michelle Birch will participate in the 2011 Research in Industrial Projects for Students (RIPS) program at the Institute for Pure and Applied Mathematics at UCLA.

Jamal Lawson wins a prize for his poster session titled "Minimal Surface Transformations" at the 2011 Joint Mathematics Meetings in New Orleans, January 6-9, 2011.

Betina Cutaia Wilkinson, Ph.D., SS'04 has a forthcoming article in the Social Science Quarterly titled "Divided Loyalties? Understanding Variation in Latino Attitudes toward Immigration."

Dr. Erin Dupuis, Assistant Professor of Psychology, was recently awarded a $19,000 grant from the Freeport-McMoRan Foundation. Dr. Dupuis and Psychology Major, Corey Phillips, are investigating how computer literacy affects perceptions of control.

Dr. Ladd delivers the invited 2011 Fritz Nova Lecture at Villanova University.
