Achievements

Dr. Erin Dupuis, Department of Psychological Sciences, has received a 2011 Marquette Fellowship. The Fellowship provides a stipend of $7500 for summer research.

Patrick Garrity, Asst. Professor of Physics, has received the Marquette Fellowship for the Summer 2011 to work on his research project "Validation of a Novel Experimental Technique on a Semiconducting Material".

Alumnus Kevin J. McLin Sr. was appointed the senior director of communications and public relations at Tuskegee University last month. 

Kenneth Keulman, Ph.D., professor of religious studies, was a co-presenter of "Actors and Contexts: Hierarchical Analyses of Multilevel Identities," at the Midwest Political Science Association Annual National Conference in Chicago, Ill., April 22-25.

Rico Alvendia, A'94, graduated with high honors from Loyola University New Orleans with a Bachelors Degree in Political Science. At the same time, he was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the US Army Reserves. 

On December 8, 2010, six Psychology majors presented their research at the Psychology Undergraduate Research Symposium.

Brittany Chavez, a Psychology and Criminal Justice double major, was awarded $4,000 to study in Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria, for the Spring 2011 semester. She will be studying Philosophy, Religion and Sociology while enrolled at the American University in Bulgaria.

Holly Iglesias is a poet, translator and author of two poetry collections, Angles of Approach (White Pine Press, 2010) and Souvenirs of a Shrunken World (Kore Press, 2008).

Daniel Mazier, A '08, was named one of New York City's most influential and connected public relations professionals by Sparkah.com.

Dr. Julia D'Antonio-Del Rio participated in three poster sessions at the American Society of Criminology held in San Fransisco in November 2010.
