Loyola's Ethics Bowl Team Competes in Regional Finals
Loyola’s Ethics Bowl team competed in the the Intercollegiate Ethics Bowl, an intercollegiate ethics debate tournament for university students in the United States organized by the Association for Practical and Professional Ethics. Loyola participated with thirteen other universities in the 28th Annual Texas Regional Ethics Bowl on Nov. 15th at St. Mary’s University in San Antonio. The team went 1-2 in the competition, yet won over 1 out of 3 judges in both rounds they lost. The round they won was against the bowl’s overall winner, University of Texas at San Antonio, and all 3 teams they paired against placed in the top 5.
This year’s team was Gabrielle Berges-Lazo, Brandon Charbonnet, Sophia Hof, Nicholas Ingles, Vhile Kunene, William Shepard, and Imad Siddiqui, and was coached by Drs. Katz and MacClellan in the Department of Philosophy.
