Professor Bolden Publishes Article with Student Co-Authors

Christian L. Bolden, PhD, Robert Hunter Distinguished Professor in the Department of Criminology and Justice, along with Jennifer Roberts, Eve Thomas, a Loyola graduate student, and Sawyer Castle, a Loyola undergraduate student, published “Walk Right Up to the Sun, Hand in Hand: The Power of Peer Mentorship in Facilitating the Successful Reentry of Former Lifers” in 2025. The chapter appears in the ASC Division of Corrections and Sentencing: Handbook on Lived Experience in the Justice System, edited by C. Dum, J. Fader, T. LeBel and K. Wright, and published by Routledge in New York. Professor Bolden is the author of Out of the Red: My Life of Gangs, Prison, and Redemption, which was published by Rutgers University Press.
