College Receives $275,000 Donation for Its Greenhouse

The Azby Fund donated $275,000 to the College of Arts and Sciences' Azby Greenhouse in December of 2025. Loyola's President Dr. Xavier Cole noted that "the Azby Fund's support fortifies the university with the resources necessary to provide students with a quality Jesuit education." The greenhouse's Coordinator Mark Tobler writes, "We are so grateful to the Azby Fund for their continued support of such an important experiential learning facility. This generous funding will provide enhancements and upgrades as well as long-term sustainability that will allow our students greater opportunities to explore diverse questions in botany, ecology and environmental science both in laboratory class settings and enhanced faculty-student collaborations."
