"Scholars to Storytellers" Teaches the Art of Writing for Public Audiences.

On Friday, October 24th, from 1-5 pm in Monroe Library, John Ghazvinian, author and former journalist, held a faculty writing workshop titled "Scholars to Storytellers," bringing in 35 participants between Loyola's College of Law and College of Arts and Sciences, as well as Tulane's Department of History and Department of Social Sciences. The workshop helped participants learn the art of writing for public audiences. For many, the highlight of the event was the community building with faculty members from different universities and disciplines.

Mr. Ghazvinian is the author of America and Iran: A History, 1720 to the Present (Alfred A. Knopf, 2021), and he also spoke on US/Iran relations in a talk co-sponsored by the Department of History, the Middle East and North African Program, and the Vernon Gregson Professorship.
