Professor Patricia Sullivan (University of South Carolina) speaks at Loyola on the legacy of Robert F. Kennedy, Sr.

Professor Patricia Sullivan, the William Arthur Fairey II professor of History at the University of South Carolina, spoke at Loyola on Thursday afternoon, October 23rd, on the legacy of Robert F. Kennedy, Sr., whose centennial of birth is this year. Dr. Sullivan focused on Bobby Kennedy’s concern for the youth of America, the elimination of poverty in the United States, and the need for community building to advance civil rights in the USA. Professor Sullivan is the author of “Justice Rising: Robert Kennedy’s America in Black and White” (Belknap Press, 2021). This event was sponsored by the Department of Religious Studies and the Reverend Stephen J. Duffy chair in Catholic Studies.
