Katelin Williams (Environmental Studies ’25) takes commitment to environmental and social justice to the next level!

Katelin was accepted to the law program at Southern University Law Center on a full scholarship plus a book stipend. She started the program this Fall where she also holds a research assistantship. She credits her interdisciplinary liberal arts education, and especially her philosophy minor, with preparing her for success in law school. Pictured is Katelin speaking at the Gwanji and Hollywood Community Center for social justice in Algiers, where she completed her Environment Program capstone project working on community lighthouses – solar energy and battery arrays at area churches to provide power, cooling, and medication refrigeration - for community support, disaster response, and climate resilience.
