ENVA Law Program Alumni Publishes Essay in CPRBlog

By Loyola University on Thu, 09/03/2026 - 17:11

Congratulations to Adelind McGoldrick on her research publication accomplishment!

Adelind McGoldrick, a recent graduate from our environmental law masters program, has published a blog essay in CPRBlog titled, "When Climate Forces Us to Move, Who Gets to Decide Where We Go?".

The essay, based on her thesis project on Isle de Jean Charles, is exactly the kind of spin-off the Loyola Environment program is teaching students to create. This is part of our theory of how to take academic research and make it actionable in order to bring political and legal change to the world. Adelind, who is also a filmmaker (with a bachelors degree from Loyola's media program), is now combining her skills as a storyteller with her knowledge of environmental law and land-use planning. She is completing an internship with the Center for Progressive Reform, a network of 60 law professor from around the country devoted to using research as a lever for change.
