Professor Bolden Featured in “JustSouth Monthly” and “Parole Project”
Professor Christian Bolden's article, "Research, Humanity, and New Possibilities Beyond the Carceral Space," is featured in the January 2026 issue of JustSouth Monthly, which is published by the College of Arts and Sciences' Jesuit Social Research Institute.
Dr. Bolden, who is the Robert Hunter Distinguished Professor in the Department of Criminology and Justice, writes, "I've spent the past five years learning about the individuals who have spent their lives incarcerated at Louisiana State Penitentiary (Angola) and Louisiana Correctional Institute for Women, most of whom were condemned to death by incarceration."
