 Dr. Dawson McCall’s recent article “‘A Hero Who Made This Country Proud’: Boxing, Nation, and the Politics of Sport in Kenya, ca 1950–1980,” received the “Best Paper” prize for 2025 from The International Journal of the History of Sport.
