National Recycle Day
Celebrate National Recycle Day on November 15th and join the movement to reduce waste and protect our planet! By recycling, we conserve natural resources, save energy, and reduce pollution. Recycling gives materials a new life and helps minimize landfill waste. Loyola has recycling bins in various places across campus for easy recycling. Together, we can create cleaner communities and a healthier environment for all!
To help support National Recycle Day, starting November 10th, bring any unwanted glass to Loyola's own glass recycling hub located on the side of the University Sports Complex. Keep Loyola Beautiful, in partnership with Glass Half Full, is providing this hub to divert glass from landfills and convert it into sand and gravel for coastal restoration, disaster relief, new glass products, and more.
Instructions for glass recycling:
- EMPTY & RINSE ALL CONTAINERS
- PLACE ONLY GLASS (REMOVE FROM BAGS)
- DO NOT OVERFILL BINS OR PLACE ON GROUND
- NO BAGS, LIDS, CORKS, TRASH, OR FOOD
See the flyer below for Loyola's impact on recycling! Check out our social media for additional information and updates regarding this event.
