Asst. Prof. Patrick Garrity has been awarded a research grant from the LA Board of Regents' Pilot Funding for New Research (Pfund) program

Patrick Garrity, Asst. Professor of Physics, has received the Marquette Fellowship for the Summer 2011 to work on his research project "Validation of a Novel Experimental Technique on a Semiconducting Material".

Emily Drabek (Physics'09) received a scholarship to join a PhD program at the University of Exeter in UK. Her research interest will be in astrophsics and especially stellar formation.

Martin McHugh, Assoc. Professor fo Physics, was awarded a $3,500 Princeton University Library Research Grant. He will use the funds to continue his research into the life and work of the physicist Robert Dicke.
