Achievements

Physics Faculty, led by Prof. Armin Kargol, received a $30,000 grant from the Louisiana Board of Regents Support Fund. The grant will fund new computers, data acquisition systems, and equipment for introductory physics courses and laboratories.

Dr. Charles Corprew, Psychological Sciences, has received a 2014-2016 W.K. Kellogg Foundation Fellowship. These awards are for up to $60,000 for three years of work. Congratulations Dr. Corprew!

Clara Francis (Class of 2012) and Dr. Erin Dupuis (Department of Psychological Sciences) presented research at the Association for Psychological Science's 26th annual convention in San Francisco from May 22-25th.

Louis Barbier '79 is currently serving as Associate Chief Scientist, NASA Engineering and Safety Center (NESC).

Shaawn B. Ali, D.O. ('08) completes Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine

This is her eighth book since graduating from Loyola. She is a professor of theology and the New Testament at John Brown University in Arkansas.

Keulman teaches courses in ethics and international relations. The purpose of the World Congress of Philosophy, which takes place every five years, is to inquire into the world’s philosophical traditions, compare them, and emphasize the importance of philosophical reflection for public discourse.

Kenneth Keulman, Provost Distinguished Professor, was asked to discuss a Supreme Court case.
