Michael Bourg, ’87 (Philosophy and Religious Studies) has accepted a job as chief operating officer for Sigma Risk Management, which has offices around the country and is headquartered in New Orleans. Bourg has worked in the nonprofit sector for 27 years, including the past decade spent with the Jesuit priests and brothers of the New Orleans Province, a 10-state region. As Executive Director for Advancement for the Jesuits, he has been in charge of communications, crisis communications, and development and has helped to manage the province office. He begins his new job in September and credits his family – his wife, Dr. Flossie Caffrey Bourg, ’88 (Religious Studies), who was his college sweetheart, and their four children, Seth, Molly, Cecilia, and Elise – with his success.
