The Department of Religious Studies made awards to three top majors at the Spring Honors Convocation: The Rev. Karl Rahner, S.J., Award for Outstanding Undergraduate Student in Religious Studies went to Chad A. Aubert, from Baton Rouge, LA. The Rev. Pierre Teilhard de Chardin, S.J., Award for Best Undergraduate Essay in Religious Studies went to Jordan Everett from Marrerro, LA for his essay, "Environmental Ethics:  An Examination of 'No Impact Man' as a Guide for Living on Earth." The Religious Studies Ignatian Works Award went to Kyleah R. Frederic, from Saint Amant, LA.
