Achievements

Dr. Lawrence Lewis, Psychological Sciences, received the Faculty Senate Excellence in Teaching Award at the January 2013 President's Convocation for faculty and staff.

Dr. MacGregor, Assistant Professor in the Department of Sociology, is awarded a 2013 Marquette Faculty Fellowhip for her project "School's Out Forever: The Decline of Catholic Education in the United States."

Frank Jordan, Ph.D., chair and professor of biological sciences, along with two Loyola alumnae, have co-authored an article in the American Society of Ichthyologists and Herpetologists journal, Copeia.

In November, 2012 Dwayne Fontenette joined James Carville, Mary Matalin, Kiki McLean, Brendan Daly, Whit Ayres, Ainsley Fagan, Margaret Hoover and Tom Fanning at Tulane’s Annual Political Summit.

Dwayne is a senior at Loyola University New Orleans double-majoring in Political Science and Mass Communication.

Rick Dietz '96, after more than 16 years at the Audubon Zoo and five years as general curator, was named director of The Wilds, nonprofit safari park and wildlife conservation center, located two hours east of Columbus, Ohio, and operated by the Columbus Zoo.

Lopez, G.R., Lopez, M.N., & Lopez, C.L. publish book chapter entitled "Se hace el camino al andar/We make the road by walking: Ruminations on work, love, and struggle in a Latino academic household."

Christopher Eck has a new position as an Archaeologist/Cultural Resources Program Manager with the Air National Guard Headquarters on Andrews Air force base near Wahington, DC.
