With over 90 songs featured in Movies and TV shows, AM keeps a busy touring schedule

Jennifer Gibilterra received her bachelors of arts in Philosophy and Economics from Loyola in 1993.  With over fifteen years of business and managerial experience, Jennifer is Senior Vice President and National Business Development Officer at Nexity Bank in Atlanta.  Prior to that, she worked for the Federal Reserve Bank both in New Orleans and in Atlanta, eventually holding the position of Assistant Vice President.  During that time, Jennifer was selected to participate in two executive development programs, one at Harvard Business School and the other at Columbia University.

Tami Hotard earned an English degree at Loyola in 1993, and a Master’s degree in English at Oregon State University. Her book The Beauty of Breast Cancer is to be released and she is currently working on a thriller about the haunting of Charity Hospital in the aftermath of Katrina.

 Dr. Cathy Rogers and Professor Valerie Andrews were honored with faculty awards at this year's College of Social Sciences Honors Convocation. 

Alumna Judy Reese Morse was named First Deputy Mayor and Chief of Staff for Mayor Landrieu. 

Prof. Andrew J. Douglas, visiting professor of political science, was awarded the Excellence in Teaching award at the 2010 College of Social Sciences Honor's Convocation. 

Megan Vonk was awarded the Political Science Outstanding Achievement award for a minor at the 2010 College of Social Sciences Honors Convocation

Kevin W. Welsh was presented with the Political Science Outstanding Academic Achievement award at the 2010 College of Social Sciences Honors Convocation.

Dr. Nathan Henne, assistant professor of Latin American Literature and Spanish, won the Marquette to produce a translation of Guatemalan author and indigenous activist Luis de Lión’s 1975 novel El tiempo principia en Xibalba (Time Begins in Xibalba).

Provost Distinguished Professor of History, Dr. Bernard Cook will present his paper, The Catholic Church in the United States and “Solidarity” at an International Conference in Wroclaw, Poland. The Conference is titled: The World towards “Solidarity” Movement 1980–1989.
