Political Science major awarded Outstanding Academic Achievement for 2010

Kevin W. Welsh was presented with the Political Science Outstanding Academic Achievement award at the 2010 College of Social Sciences Honors Convocation.

Kevin has been on the Dean's list the entire four years of his undergraduate studies. He has excelled in all of his political science courses and is held in high regard by the faculty and staff in the department. He thrives in the academic environment and enjoys the rigor and challenges of difficult courses.

In summer 2009 he attended the Washington Semester Program at American University and worked for the American Security Council Foundation.

In Fall 2010 he was elected president of Pi Sigma Alpha, the political science honor society. He is also a member of the Loyola Rugby Football Club.

Kevin has been accepted into several law schools and has chosen to attend the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University starting in the Fall.

The department was honored to present this award to Kevin Welsh for outstanding academic achievement.
