Achievements

Cameron Hill ’14 is using his Loyola degree to transform a passion for sports into a career at ESPN.

To students, she is forever a role model and mentor. To fellow faculty members, she is a devoted colleague known for her steadfast commitment to Jesuit education. To Loyola University New Orleans, philosophy professor Constance Mui, Ph.D., is the recipient of the university’s top faculty honor—the 2013 Dux Academicus Award. She received the accolade Friday, Jan. 10 at the Spring 2014 Faculty and Staff Convocation.

Madi Stark presented her senior thesis research at the Botany 2014 national conference in Boise, ID, in July 2014. The poster, on a possible undescribed hybrid cattail spreading aggressively in the Mississippi River delta, was co-authored with Biology professors Dave White and Don Hauber.

Sociology Professor, Dr. Anthony Ladd has two recent publications.

Tracy Osborn is an Associate Professor in the Department of Political Science.  Her research focuses on women and politics in U.S. state legislatures, Congress, and political behavior.

Michael Bourg, ’87 (Philosophy and Religious Studies) has accepted a job as chief operating officer for Sigma Risk Management.

Valeria Arias ’14 showed up to one of Panama’s top media corporations with no appointment and a resume in hand. Arias was determined to land a job with TVN Media headquartered in Panama City, Panama by presenting her social media skills and portfolio.

Sonia Odom studied at the University of Cape Town in South Africa this summer.  She wrote in her blog that she thoroughly enjoyed her experience.

Chad Aubert of Baton Rouge, took top honors at graduation and is now headed for life as a Benedictine monk.
