Dr. Silverstein and recent psychology graduate Angélica Pagán attended the Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues conference in San Juan, Puerto Rico in June 2022. Angélica presented three posters on COVID-19 safety guideline adherence, telemental health outcomes by race/ethnicity, and the impact of financial strain on mental health during the pandemic using her senior thesis data. On March 30, 2023, Dr. Elizabeth Watkins gave a talk entitled "Joan of Arc: The Maid of New Orleans" at Country Day High School. The lecture explored the place of Joan of Arc, the warrior-saint who broke the English siege on the French city of Orléans during the Hundred Years' War, as part of the medievalisms of New Orleans culture. She focused primarily on the Krewe de Jeanne d'Arc and how its parade reframes Joan as a patron saint of New Orleans, particularly in light of her usage elsewhere as a rallying figure for white supremacist causes.
Provost Distinguished Professor of English, Dr. Hillary Eklund, won the College of Arts and Sciences Faculty Excellence in Advising Award for 2022. Meanwhile, Dorothy Harrell Brown Distinguished Professor of English and Director of the Center for Editing and Publishing, Dr. Christopher Schaberg, penned the article, "Quitting Academic Twitter" for Inside Higher Education this May.

This is a departmental award that emphasizes scholarship and research achievement in physics and is given by the faculty of the Physics Department as a token of confidence and encouragement.
The History and Philosophy Departments joined together to hold an awards ceremony for students in the department. Students Jesse Coleman, Allyssa Edwards, Franco Fuenes, Henry Glick, Delaney Harper, Jesse LeBouef, and Joeseph Pitre were awarded for their excellence as students, writers, and leaders. Faculty from both departments came together with friends and family of the awardees to express their support for the students.
