Adjunct Professor James M. Leonard was recently appointed Assistant Registrar at Leavell College at the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.

Robert Gnuse, the James C. Carter, S.J./Bank One Distinguished Professor of the Humanities, has two articles in the press:

The Religious Studies Department made awards to two top majors at the Spring 2012 Awards Convocation.

The Rev. Sandra Bastone Barnes ’86 (religious studies) was ordained in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.

Dr. Robbie Fox Castleman, class of 1985, received the National 2011 "Kathleen Connolly-Weinert Leader of the Year" award for the Theta Alpha Kappa Honor Society.

Dr. Catherine Wessinger, the Reverend H. James Yamauchi, S. J. Professor of the History of Religions at Loyola University New Orleans has edited the just-released Oxford Handbook of Millenialism.

Robert Gnuse, Ph.D., religious studies professor at Loyola University New Orleans, had two books published this year.

Graduating Senior-classman Alexander Fournet will be presented the Reverend Karl Rahner, SJ, Award for the Outstanding Undergraduate Student in the Department of Religious Studies for the 2010-11 school year. The Honors Convocation will take place Friday, May 13th, 2011 at 11am in Roussel Hall.
