Achievements

Dr. Adil Khan will conduct research on Islamic Law and the Qu'ran in the wake of the Arab revolutions.

Dr. Guy Beck gave the inaugural lecture of The Asian Studies Lecture Series at Christopher Newport University, located in Newport News, VA.

Recently appointed faculty member Judith Gruber, Ph.D., published her dissertation thesis, "Theologie nach dem Cultural Turn: Interkulturalitaet als theologische Ressource" (Kohlhammer, April, 2013.)

Judith Gruber, Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Religious Studies, gave a presentation at the conference of the European Society of Intercultural Theology and Interreligious Studies (ESITIS.)

Dr. Adil H. Khan participated in Xavier University's Institute for Black Catholic Studies panel discussion entitled, "Race, Culture, and Spirituality."

Dr. Catherine Wessinger will participate in Baylor University's upcoming event "Reflecting On An American Tragedy: The Branch Davidians 20 Year Later."

Adil H. Khan, recently appointed Assistant Professor of Islamic Studies in the Department of Religious Studies, spoke on Islamic Law at the University of Mississippi.

Dr. Judith Gruber will present a paper to the Catholic Theological Society of America in June 2013.

Izabela Gasparri will travel to Haiti for an important service mission.
