History alumna, Eileen Guillory, a Social Studies teacher at the private girls' school--McGehee's, was awarded the McGehee's Jane Pharr Community Service Award. She also recently wrote a story, "Beyond the Gate - Service and McGehee," that was published in the fall issue of McGehee's school magazine.
Louise S. McGehee School was founded in 1912 as a college preparatory school for young women. Located in the historic Garden District, McGehee currently enrolls 474 girls from Pre-K through 12th grade.
