Clubs + Organizations

Get Involved

All Languages and Cultures students are encouraged to join student organizations that enhance learning outside the classroom.

  • The French Honor Society, Pi Delta Phi --Open to majors, minors, or other students at the advanced level who meet the national requirements. 

  • French scholarships through CODOFIL, Council for the Development of French in Louisiana. Or Teaching Assistants through TAPIF (Teaching Assistant Program in France).

  • Les Tricolores French Club--open to all students, events throughout the year, ranging from guest lectures, concerts, film screenings to trivia contests and staged productions. 

  • La Table Française--Eat and chat in French, MWF. 

  • Spanish Group Conversation--informal conversations with native-speaker tutors, in Bobet 114 every Thursday, 12:45-1:45 p.m.

  • Mesa de Español--Informal conversations with Spanish faculty, in the Senior Commons Room, Danna Center 2nd floor, First Tuesday of the month, 1:00-1:45 p.m. 

  • The Spanish Honor Society, Sigma Delta Pi --Open to majors, minors, or other students at the advanced level who meet the national requirements. Contact Dr. Isabel Durocher.

  • Hispanic Music Appreciation--open to all students, to encourage intercultural appreciation of Hispanic music and food, dance, and celebration. Contact Martha Alguera
