Behrooz Moazami arrived at Loyola in 2007, bringing with him his passion for peace! Not only has he been hard at work at the creation of a Middle East / Peace Studies program, but he has also been instrumental in initiating and encouraging this year’s student peace conference. Dr. Moazami has also taken great strides to enhance the intellectual quality of life here at Loyola for the faculty. He has participated in the new initiative to create research groups for junior faculty, and recently hosted a visiting lecture by Robert Malley, former special assistance to President Bill Clinton, who presented a paper entitled “U.S. Middle East Policy: What Obama Might Do.”
