Dr. Mark Fernandez was recently named a Louisiana Historical Association (LHA) fellow.
The LHA recognizes the outstanding accomplishments of members and others by creating “Fellows of the Association.” Eligible to become Fellows are those persons who have made remarkable contributions to Louisiana’s culture, literature, and history.
Dr. Fernandez received this honor for his extensive publications on Louisiana's history and culture and his service to the LHA. New Fellows are voted in by the current Fellows. The association allows for a total of only thirty-five fellows.
