Achievements

Holly Gardner presented her research at a regional MAA Meeting on March 5, 2010.

Holly Gardner participated in the National Science Foundation Research Experiences for Undergraduates program at James Madison University.

Lauren Cherneski, Ancient and Medieval Studies major, will begin attending the University of Exeter in England in the fall in order to pursue a master’s degree in Medieval Studies.

Allegra Hartman and David Garcia present their research on body image, disordered eating patterns, and identity development of college students at two conferences.

Political Science major, Kristen Lee, was selected as one of 25 students to participate in the Pre-Law Undergraduate Scholar Program at the Chicago Kent College of Law.

Bob Cowser Jr.'s first book, Dream Season was a NY Times "Editor's Choice" and "Paperback Row" selection. His second book, Scorekeeping was published by the University of South Carolina Press. His third book Green Fields, about the murder of a grade school classmate is forthcoming from UNO Press.

Cristina Catanzaro, SS '09, works as a Production Assistant for HBO in New York City after interning with the company during college. 

Nate Thacker graduated this spring as a double Philosophy and English Literature major. He received a six-year fellowship with stipend to Penn State, and will be teaching a freshman English course next fall.

Dr. Erin C. Dupuis, assistant professor in the Department of Psychological Sciences was awarded the 2010 Humanities and Natural Science's Excellence in Community Service Award.

Political Science alumna, Lauren Campisi, practices law in New Orleans, Louisiana. Lauren is an associate in the firm McGlinchey Stafford in the New Orleans office, focusing her practice on banking law, consumer finance regulatory and compliance law and commercial litigation.
