Nate Thacker ('10) receives 6-year fellowship to Penn State

Nate Thacker graduated this spring as a double Philosophy and English Literature major. One of his articles, "The Origin of Language: A Critical Examination of the Species Acquisition Theories of Noam Chomsky and Michael Tomasello" will be published in Sapere Aude. He received a six-year fellowship with stipend to Penn State, and will be teaching a freshman English course next fall. Next summer, he will embark on a fully funding trip to do archival research at Oxford and Cambridge, where he'll be examining seventeenth-century manuscripts. He is currently working as a research assistant to Dr. John Clark
