Valerie Holliday holds a Ph.D. in English literature and an M.A. in Philosophy, both from Louisiana State University-Baton Rouge. She teaches Medical Humanities in the Master of Science Program in Medical Ethics and Human Values at the Tulane University School of Medicine. She also currently teaches biomedical ethics to nursing students and applicants at Baton Rouge Community College. She has years of experience in administration in the Louisiana and Community Technical College System, and chaired the arts and philosophy department at Miami Dade College for a year. Her current favorite things are Scandinavian crime novels, goldfish, Division 2, the Netflix series Undone, zazen, and IKEA.
