Vanessa Saunders is a writer from the San Francisco Bay Area. Her feminist experimental novel, The Flat Woman, won the Ronald Sukenick Innovative Fiction Prize and is forthcoming from FC2 & University of Alabama Press. Her hybrid work, fiction, and poetry has appeared in Seneca Review, Passages North, Los Angeles Review, Sycamore Review, Nat. Brut, Entropy, and [PANK] among others. She was a finalist for the Seneca Review’s Lyric Essay Book Prize and was long-listed for the Tarpaulin Sky Press Book Award. She received her MFA from Louisiana State University and serves as the editor-in-chief of Helium Poetry Journal.
