Refer to the BSN nursing course rotation schedule in Table 1.1 of this Handbook when planning the sequence of nursing courses. Plan your course work so you do not exceed 12 credits in any given semester if you wish to avoid a full-time tuition charge.

Prerequisites for Nursing Courses

1. NURS 361 Professional Nursing Practice is a prerequisite for: NURS 377 Nursing Leadership, NURS 450 Nursing Research, NURS 457 Health Promotion, NURS 471 Community Health Nursing.
2. Pre/co-requisites for NURS 473 Comprehensive Integrated Practicum are: NURS 361 Professional Nursing Practice, NURS 377 Nursing Leadership, NURS 457 Health Promotion and NURS 471 Community Health Nursing.
3. Prerequisites for NURS 450 Nursing Research are: HOD 260 Elementary Statistics and NURS 361 Professional Nursing Practice.
4. Prerequisites for Non-Nursing Courses: Comp 119 English Composition is a prerequisite to Lit 260: Literary Forms; Lit 260 Literary Forms is a prerequisite to any literature elective.
