The Dean’s Student Advisory Council (DSAC) brings together majors from the humanities, the natural sciences and the social sciences. Its main purpose is to serve as a forum for students to discuss issues that affect them at the college level.
Each department in the college appoints one representative and an alternate. In a typical monthly meeting, the members of DSAC bring topics to the attention of the Dean and the Associate Dean provide input and advise the Dean. Every year, they elect a DSAC speaker. The speaker attends the College Assembly, where she/he can participate in the discussions.
DSAC opens opportunities to students to get first-hand information on topics of the most relevance, and invites them to get actively engaged in the college.
