Richard D. Wilson Memorial Scholarship

During his years at Loyola, Rich helped students, faculty, and university administrators with the complexities of class scheduling, program requirements, and special needs.  He was perhaps one of the staff members at Loyola who knew the most about how to attract, retain, and graduate students who are with and for others.  His presence is deeply missed at Loyola.

To recognize Rich's long service to the university, his family and friends are establishing a scholarship fund, the Richard D. Wilson Memorial Scholarship, to promote excellence in undergraduate studies.  The scholarship will offer incentive and financial aid to talented Sociology majors and minors, preferably military veterans, with at least a 2.5 GPA.

An anonymous donor has generously pledged $10,000 to support the fund, with the goal of reaching $25,000 in total, the minimum amount required to endow a scholarship fund at Loyola.  Anyone can give a one-time or recurring gift to the new scholarship fund to match the challenge, remember Rich, and help students.
