During the Loyola University New Orleans faculty and staff spring convocation on Jan. 23, the University Faculty Senate honored four of its colleagues with prestigious awards. John T. Sebastian, Ph.D., received the excellence in advising award.

In addition to advising, Dr. Sebastian is assistant professor in the department of English, deputy director of the University Honors Program and director of the Medieval Studies program.

Dr. Sebastian was also a recipient of a Marquette Fellowship for “Writing on the Edge: Literature for the Laity of Late-Medieval England.”
