STUDENT EVALUATIONS - edited today
Students are asked to fill out the College’s Student Evaluation Forms at the end of each class by the
faculty teaching the class. Faculty are not in the room while the students fill out the form; a student is
asked to collect the forms and deliver them to the Office of the Dean. The results, compiled by
Information Technology, are returned to the faculty member, the department chair and to the Office of
the Dean the following semester. The results of the student evaluation forms are available on a
semester by semester and course by course basis. There are no cumulative statistics that are generated.
The evaluations are used by department chairs and also by the dean of the college in the annual
evaluation of faculty and also for review for tenure and promotion. The Salary Oversight Review
Committee does not see the results of the student evaluations, although the dean may inform the
Committee of the results.
