Rob Verchick is a leading climate law scholar who designed and implemented climate-resilience policies in the Obama administration. He holds the Gauthier-St. Martin Chair in Environmental Law at Loyola University New Orleans, is a senior fellow in Disaster Resilience at Tulane University, and serves as president of the Center for Progressive Reform. Verchick is the author of four books and host of the podcast Connect the Dots.

ENVA's Hilary Nguyen has recently been accepted into the CRCL (The Office for Civil Rights and Civil Liberties) Future Coastal Leader Program. This program aims to connect local college students to our coast and the communities fighting to save it, and provide a better understanding of local and state restoration.

Taiyah Murphy ENVH’24 recently completed a Sustainability Leaders Workshop through Bard University. The C2C Fellows Network, is a program offered through the Graduate Programs in Sustainability at Bard College in New York. It is an international network for undergraduate and graduate students aspiring to leadership work in sustainable politics, NGO’s and business.

A native of Omaha, Nebraska, Sitzman is a scholar-athlete devoting much of her time to swimming and in the classroom as an Environmental Studies (Social Sciences) scholar. In her role as a NOAA Intern this summer, she will turn her passion for the environment, specifically anything related to weather, water, and climate, into purpose and advance her leadership skills.
