English Professor Wins College Award for Research

Dr. Christopher Schaberg received the 2015 College of Humanities and Natural Sciences Award for Faculty Excellence in Research, presented by Dr. Josefa Salmon, Award Committee Chair. The award is given to “a person who has demonstrated consistent superiority in scholarship as evidenced in the publication of books, articles in refereed journals, creative endeavors, conference presentations, as well as other activities appropriate to their academic field.” As a colleague wrote in nominating him for the award, “Professor Schaberg is not only one of the most productive scholars on campus; he also encourages research across the university, assisting both faculty and students in scholarly projects. Few individuals have done more to enrich the intellectual life of Loyola through research than has Professor Schaberg.”
