David Rodriguez

David Rodriguez is a teacher, writer, musician, and editor based in New Orleans. He holds an M.F.A. in Creative Writing from Florida State University and has been published in the New Orleans Review, Southeast Review, Sandy River Review, Hawai'i Review, and Alexandria Quarterly, among other places. Most recently, his 2021 album C.M.S.O., co-written with Elizabeth Joan Kelly, was selected as a Bandcamp “Pick of the Month” for May 2021 amid positive reviews in The Wire and Electronic Sound.

As an instructor, he has won three teaching awards and co-edited two composition textbooks. His areas of focus have included critical reading and writing, creative writing, and literature, and his training has encompassed approaches to on-campus, online, hybrid, and HyFlex courses. His current research involves subversive uses of new digital media to promote creative work, particularly within the career of the British band Radiohead.
