Tom Andes ('99) story selected for Best American Mystery Stories 2012

"The Hit," a story by English alumnus Tom Andes '99, appears in The Best American Mystery Stories 2012. The yearly publication collects the best short fiction in the mystery genre from the previous year. USAToday says each of the stories in this year's edition "dazzles," starting with Andes tale "about a gun for hire with a change of heart."

Andes has poetry, fiction, and criticism published or forthcoming in News from the Republic of Letters, Santa Clara Review, Spork, Harp and Altar, Mantis, Bateau, 3:AM Magazine, elimae, Pif, Everyday Genius, and the Rumpus. He was recently interviewed about his writing career for The Free Weekly.
