Dr. Francis G. Martello, DDS

Dr. Martello is a New Orleans native. He attended De La Salle High School, graduated from Loyola in 1975 with a BS in Biology, and received his DDS from LSU School of Dentistry in 1979. He is a Fellow of the American College of Dentists and the International College as well, and served as president of the New Orleans Dental Association in 1993. Since his graduation from dental school, he has been in private practice at 1502 Amelia St. in New Orleans. He is on the dental staff at Touro Infirmary and is currently a part-time clinical professor in the Department of Comprehensive Dentistry and Biomaterials at LSUSD. He has been the volunteer dentist for United Cerebral Palsy of Greater New Orleans for over 25 years. In 2009, Governor Bobby Jindal appointed Dr. Martello to the Louisiana State Board of Dentistry.

He has been married to Kathy Reed since 1980 -- they have two daughters, Katherine and Elizabeth, and in the last year have acquired two sons-in-law, Ben Tuffield and Mitchell Cogswell. Dr. Martello's hobbies include snow skiing, astronomy, and fishing. On occasion, he manages to combine two of those three.
