Award-winning actor Spud McConnell brought Ignatius Reilly off the page and onto the stage of Nunemaker Auditorium, on Thursday, October 14, 2010.

Students, faculty, staff and the community (including a large group of students from Lusher) enjoyed a madcap evening as McConnell performed excerpts from A Confederacy of Dunces and discussed his relationship with the novel and the misanthropic protagonist he has brought to life.

Spud also presented the winners of the freshmen essay contest with certificates printed on Big Chief tablets.  Congratulations to Cameron, Austin, Alec, Savannah, Sarah-Ann, and Beau and to all the freshmen who submitted essays - it was a very difficult decision for the committee.
