Internships

Internships have been available to students in recent years at the following community organizations or businesses: Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater New Orleans; Common Ground, Fair Housing Action Center, FEMA, Hispanic Apostolate, Kingsley House, Methodist Home for Children, Muscular Dystrophy Association, nola.com, ViaLink, and placement as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA).

Research Opportunities

Supervised research and practical experience are essential to completing a sociology degree. Opportunities to conduct research for community organizations and faculty, as well as service learning projects, are incorporated into selected courses.
