Sociology student presents paper at regional conference

Rose Kelley, a sociology senior and a Social Justice Scholar, presented her paper, "The Charter School Debate in Post-Katrina New Orleans," at the 28th SouthEastern Undergraduate Sociology Symposium (SEUSS), Feb. 19-20, at Emory University in Atlanta.

The Southeastern Undergraduate Sociology Symposium allows students to share their original papers in a professional atmosphere, in a 12-15 minute presentation. It provides students an opportunity to enhance their public speaking skills and furthers the process of professionalization, which prepares students for graduate school, law school, or any future profession.
