Dr. Carol Ann MacGregor, Department of Sociology, was presented with the 2013 Distinguished Article Award by the Society for the Scientific Study of Religion at the SSSR's Annual Meeting in Boston on November 9, 2013. The article, "Religion and Volunteering in Context: Disentangling the Contextual Effects of Religion on Voluntary Behavior", co-authored with Dr. Chaeyoon Lim (University of Wisconsin-Madison), appears in the October 2012 volume of the American Sociological Review. Dr. MacGregor, Dr. Lim and Dr. Robert Putnam (Harvard) also won this award in 2011.
