Four Loyola's undergraduate students traveled to the Conference for Undergraduate Women in Physics (CUWiP) 2018. This annual conference, organized by the American Physical Society, took place in January 2018 on the campus of University of North Florida in Jacksonville, Fl. Anna Smith and Kennedi Turner presented their work with Dr. Biswas on modeling of neurons. Ariel Hall had a poster about her research on the effect of nanoparticles on gating of ion channels done in Dr Kargol's lab. This work was done with Kaough Baggett and Anne-Marie Murat (currently at LSU Shreveport Medical Center). Sandrine Ferrans also attended the conference.
