Physics Alumna attends Graduate Neuroscience Program at Charite Universitatsmedizin in Berlin

Physics Alumna Stella von Meer attends the International Graduate Program in Medical Neurosciences at the Charite Medical University in Berlin.

Stella, who graduated in Dec. 07, has been a student researcher in cellular biophysics, conducting patch-clamping experiments on ion channels. She had presented her results at a Regional Meeting of American Chemical Society in Houston in 2007, and co-authored 3 presentations at the March Meeting of the American Physical Society in New Orleans in 2008.  At Loyola, Stella received the Marlow Scholarship in 2006-7, Benedetto-Maring Scholarship in 2007, and was awarded the Benedetto Award, given by the Physics Department to the most outstanding senior.
