David Vumbaco has been accepted to an Interdisciplinary PhD program in Neuroscience at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center. He plans to earn his PhD in Neuroscience and move on to work on advancing the field of neuro-digital prostheses i.e artificial arms and legs that utilize the brain's existing pathways to replicate natural movement.
David graduated with majors in Physics and Biology. As a Loyola student he did research on synthesis of novel crystal structures with Prof. Lynn Koplitz and on ion channel electrophysiology with Prof. Armin Kargol. He currently works as a Medical Assistant at Hand Surgical Associates of Louisiana.
